91. Dried Apple Pie
1/2 lb Dried apples, 3 c Cider, 1/2 c Brown sugar, 1 ts Cinnamon, 1/2 ts Mace,1 Double 9″ unbaked pie crust, 3 T Butter.
Simmer apples and cider until the apples are tender. Mix brown sugar, cinnamon and mace. Add to apples and cook for about 10 minutes more. (Juice should be about gone). Cool. Pour into the crust. Dot with butter. Cover with top crust or lattice strips. Bake in a 425 degree oven for 30 to 40 minutes-until the crust is light brown.
